Yesterday night was balmy, and we enjoyed the evening with the doors open and the fresh air coming in. We also had a visitor, Louise, who joined us for the evening. She was crocheting a little cardigan for her daughter, and we hope to see her again in the coming weeks.
Marina had been very busy. She showed us her Christmas table topper, which is an interesting pattern. It requires border fabrics, and the pattern is a larger version of the quilt below. We are hoping Marina will show how to make one of these, they seem very versatile.
Marina's getting into the Aussie Hero quilts, and this is one she whipped up very quickly. Isn't it lovely! A soldier will be the lucky recipient one day soon.
Marg was working on her stitchery, part of a gorgeous stitched and pieced quilt that hangs in Mary's shop. What a delightful little garden fairy!
Helen was happy to complete one section of her ANZAC stitchery. It takes infinite patience, and the black and yellow are very striking. The finished work will be very impressive indeed!
I finished another of my 'Scandinavian Rose' panels. This one had a lot of satin stitch and ooops! I just noticed an unfinished section. The satin stitch caused a lot of grumbling - not my favourite stitch!
This is another of Marina's quilt, the same pattern as the one above, but with smaller prints. The photo doesn't do it justice, it looks very rich in blue and cream and gold. We all loved it.
