My quilt is done and in the post - even sewed on the label this morning!! Hopefully it will bring happiness to someone in Christchurch who has been through the trauma with the earthquakes and many many aftershocks. Beautifully modeled by Tupai.
Last Saturday we got together to help Annette and Maureen begin making a French Braid quilt.
We sorted out the instructions - thankfully Tania and Donna had made this pattern before so lots of help was available. We had a great day, lots of conversation, laughs, dogs to trip over and great food. (Thanks for the quiche Maureen) We even got some sewing done. Donna was working on her beautiful quilt, putting on the leaves - fantastic colours!! Tania was working on her quilt, me on mine and Annette and Maureen were rocketing along - despite Annette's attempts to amputate her fingers with her rotary cutter - Note to us: Annette and a new blade in her rotary cutter = bad news!!
Your quilt arrived safe and sound this morning. It is just lovely and please thank everyone involved, you are all angels thinking of us over here and I know this will bring much comfort to its recipient.
The quilt arrived safe and sound.
