QFO working bee

We had a working bee evening tonight (June 22nd) and had a great time. Tania measured and cut the sashings, Helen, Maureen and Margo placed and pinned, Donna ironed and pinned and gave advice on how to iron the seams, Margo and I did some sewing - our best quarter inch seams!!! Then we had to stand back and look at the results. We are not quite finished but well on the way. Good job everyone - this quilt has been really made with love!!

Blog book

Can't let that other blog hog get away with it! We chatted about possibly printing a book of our blog as a memento for the group library. Well, here's a link to a publisher, check it out -

http://blog2print.sharedbook.com/blogworld/printmyblog/index.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=adwords&utm_campaign=feb09

Depending on the cost, we could order a copy.

Wednesday 8th June

Here is a sneaky photo of Pauline and Dorothy - sadly the flash didn't quite travel far enough.
We had a great night on Wednesday - even though things looked serious - well embroidering names on bonnets is a serious job - we had lots of laughs! It was a very enjoyable night.

A couple of sillies

Well what can I say! This is what happens when you set up the camera and run around the table to get in the photo - have to make an effort to get into the running for the "Blog Hog" award this year!!

Donna

Have a look at this!! Donna is nearly finished her "Africa" quilt - just some more embellishing to do. She has done a wonderful job on this. The quilt is just beautiful.
