crafty cleverness.....

a little catch up on some of the crafty gorgeousness on Wednesday night....

Marg's sweet little teddy bear...

Amanda's Argyle quilt made for her now-fiance Josh (love that engagement ring, Miss Amanda!)...

Sarah's pretty applique...

Maureen's stunning french braid quilt, made with the beautiful 'Panier des Fleurs' range by French General. A really beautiful quilt, Maureen.

and lastly, just a gorgeous box of threads - I loved seeing all these colours sitting next to each other waiting to be used in Amanda's stitchery - photos to come soon

Sewing Saturday

Last Saturday we got together to help Annette and Maureen begin making a French Braid quilt.
We sorted out the instructions - thankfully Tania and Donna had made this pattern before so lots of help was available. We had a great day, lots of conversation, laughs, dogs to trip over and great food. (Thanks for the quiche Maureen) We even got some sewing done. Donna was working on her beautiful quilt, putting on the leaves - fantastic colours!! Tania was working on her quilt, me on mine and Annette and Maureen were rocketing along - despite Annette's attempts to amputate her fingers with her rotary cutter - Note to us: Annette and a new blade in her rotary cutter = bad news!!
